For financial matters, it’s quite nice, and very practical, to have a budget.
It’s important to know where all of your money is supposed to go, and while there’s plenty of budgeting tools out there, I have yet to find one that works as simply and thoroughly as this PY sheet.
First, if you’re not familiar, PY, or, Personnel Year, is a business term used to describe what it costs a business to field an employee.
This helps them understand how much it costs the company to field a new employee, and goes well beyond just their salary.
The costs for fielding an employee also include any tools or equipment they need to be provided, any paid trainings they need to attend, any benefits provided by the company, and other costs incurred by the company as a result of having an employee.
Second, the advantage here is this workbook is designed to capture all of your expenses, personal and business(es) so you can see all the money going out.
This workbook also gives you tools for figuring out Capital Expenses, Recurring costs, Operational costs, and other such things.
